Natalie Williams
Natalie Williams is a registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist (MA, MBACP) with a background in psychology and counselling. She specialises in sex and porn addiction, compulsive sexual behaviour disorder (CSBD), and emotional well-being. Her work is grounded in evidence-based theory, and she is passionate about helping people find freedom from the loneliness of repetitive behaviours and shame, supporting them in building healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Understanding Addiction – How Natalie Works
Natalie supports individuals who struggle with compulsive sexual behaviours or pornography use, even when they have tried to stop. Clients may be questioning whether their behaviour is a problem, or they may have been confronted by a loved one or the authorities. When actions begin to impact relationships, work, or self-esteem, it can be deeply distressing – but they are not alone.

Natalie offers a structured, compassionate, evidence-based approach to help clients explore their behaviours, gain insight, break unhealthy patterns, and move forward with confidence. Addictions can feel overwhelming, but with the right support, freedom is possible.

Step 1: Understanding the Problem
The process begins by exploring the client’s history: When did the behaviour start? How does it function as a coping mechanism? What impact is it having? Through the use of a screening tool, Natalie helps clients gain a clearer picture of their struggles in an objective and non-judgemental way.

Step 2: Reducing Shame & Understanding Addiction
Many people feel trapped by shame and guilt, which can make seeking help even harder. Natalie helps clients explore the neuroscience of addiction—how the brain works, the role of dopamine and neural pathways, and how addictive behaviours form and are maintained. With greater understanding comes greater empowerment to break free.

Step 3: Recovery Planning & Relapse Prevention
Once triggers are identified, Natalie works with clients to create a clear and structured recovery plan. This includes:

  • Practical strategies for managing cravings and triggers

  • Relapse prevention techniques

  • A focus on long-term recovery, not just short-term fixes
