Ayesha Walker
Ayesha Walker
Ayesha Walker is an integrative CBT/REBT therapist and couples coach who works with individuals and couples seeking meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is supportive, practical, and forward-focused. Alongside her work with anxiety, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and unhelpful relational patterns, Ayesha has developed a particular interest in supporting partners affected by betrayal trauma, compulsive sexual behaviours, and relationship rupture. She works with individuals experiencing the emotional impact of broken trust, secrecy, emotional confusion, hypervigilance, and the loss of safety within relationships.
Ayesha is also a co-facilitator of the Cherry Tree Betrayal Trauma Support Group and contributes to workshops focused on betrayal trauma, relational repair, emotional wellbeing, boundaries, communication, and rebuilding trust. Her work aims to help partners feel less alone, better understood, and more emotionally grounded as they navigate difficult and often overwhelming experiences.
Many clients come to therapy wanting more than simply a space to talk. They are often looking for practical tools, emotional clarity, fresh perspectives, and constructive ways to move forward. Ayesha works collaboratively with clients to help them recognise strengths, identify meaningful goals, and create realistic, lasting change in everyday life. Where appropriate, she may also offer exercises or reflective tasks between sessions to support the therapeutic process.
What is REBT?
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that focuses on the connection between thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and behaviours. REBT helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs and thinking patterns that may contribute to emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and feeling stuck.
Rather than simply coping with problems, REBT aims to help clients develop healthier perspectives, greater emotional flexibility, and more constructive responses to life’s challenges.
Couples Coaching & Relationship Support
Ayesha also works with couples experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust issues, or disconnection within the relationship. She has a growing interest in working with couples affected by betrayal trauma and relational rupture, supporting conversations around communication, accountability, emotional safety, and rebuilding trust where appropriate.
Her approach integrates CBT, REBT, coaching techniques, and communication skills training to help couples:
- Communicate more openly and effectively
- Resolve conflict in healthier ways
- Understand each other more deeply
- Rebuild emotional connection and intimacy
- Break repetitive negative cycles
- Create stronger, more supportive relationships
Sessions provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where both partners can feel heard and understood.
Her Approach
Ayesha’s style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental. She aims to create a safe environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of criticism or shame.
Her approach is supportive, practical, and forward-focused, with an emphasis on both understanding difficulties and actively developing healthier ways forward.
